Nathan and I drove to Colorado to meet some friends and ski just west of Denver, CO. His first time to ski, I was truly impressed. Never had any trouble getting off the ski lift. Took a bit of a wipeout on a blue run, but he did a blue run on his first day ever to ski.
We rented an ATV and drove through the mountains, exploring the trails that wind up the mountain forests. Had a great time but Nate was disappointed he wasn’t old enough for his own, so I let him take over and drive a bit.
Today was Family day at work, just before the official ceremony tomorrow of opening the building to the public. We got to tour around the building and I got to show Nate where I work and my office. We went up to look around the resturaunt at the top of the building as well, it’s called Vast.
It was a pretty great day.
Nathan, obviously a fan of Sara Palin
Today was 10-10-10. I wanted to take some kind of special photo on this day. This seemed like as good as place as any.
Nate went with me to take pics at Lake Hefner at night, instead of being stuck at home watching the Oscars.
Mom snuck in a fake $5 note with a religious message on Nate’s gift.
I’m just confused on if I should be offended by the subversive attempt on my 10 year old without any heads up to me or his mom, or the fact that she didn’t make the same effort to save my eternal soul as well.
This year, which has not been bad at all, has been going by at an incredible, mind numbing speed. Seems like yesterday it was New Years Eve in Times Square and now we are at Halloween again already. This year however, has been different than the past. For the better actually. See, I haven’t found out things yet, but I’ve had to deal with a lot of things I been avoiding and I have had to confront some pretty big fears. Yea, I know, sorry, cryptic and I apologize but, I like to let you in on the fact that I am having these insights, just not as to what they are.
Ask me, who has a kid, who just got strait A’s on a report card, is doing well in Baseball, reads on a grade level above his, has been doing all his house chores as promised and wants to buy a cookbook for kids so he can learn to cook.
Go ahead, ask me. 🙂
