Paula and I just returned from Hawaii, had a great time and some much needed sun. It was a last min trip to Honolulu to stay at Waikiki beach and everything kind of fell into place. A beautiful trip. We went scuba diving and enjoyed a lot of beach time.
New Years Day in New Orleans, Louisiana. Last night was a bit crazy.
Okay, so things kind of exploded at work this week. My director, Philip, quit this week and it’s had the company a bit on edge on strategy going forward. I’d been contemplating on leaving as well and today it looks like that is coming to fruition.
I wish New Media well in their endeavors and the people I worked with over the past two years are very talented, they should do great things in their new direction, I just need to go in another one.
I’m going to Colorado for a little getaway. I fear my attitude has spread around the workplace and all are standing on the cliffs, some waiting to jump, some waiting to be pushed.
Get busy living or get busy dying. I need to go find my smile.
Spending the next few days at the LaQuinta Resort in Palm Springs for work. Our client Williams Energy is hosting their annual performance review and I’ll be help running the show and presentation. The most interesting part of this trip was the flight here; Mike and I rode in Williams’ Corporate jet from Oklahoma to Palm Springs.
After nearly a lifetime of wanting and planning to visit the land down under, Paula and I finally planned our trip to go. It was compacted into Sydney, Cairns, and Uluru, all less than a week total, but it was worth getting a feel of all that Australia is. I’m pretty sure we will be back to visit again in much more detail.
The new car 🙂
So, after running Outland Design for the last two years, I have taken a position as a Web Designer for Ackerman McQueen New Media. I’m really looking forward to working with the group of talented designers and developers, some I already know and have worked with.
Outland Design has moved it’s offices from Classen Blvd. to Bricktown, the newly renovated historic district in Oklahoma City. Good things are happening.
